Obituary

BROGDEN, Harold Wesley 'Wes', of Tabernacle NJ, died on April 21, 2020. Age 83.
Beloved husband of Ann L. Brogden (nee Graham). Loving father of Maryann M. Brandt and her husband, Jay, David W. Brogden and his wife, Marie, the late William H. 'Bill' Brogden, and the late Jeffrey A. Brogden and his wife, Darlene. Dear grandfather of Robert Fortunato, Wesley Brogden, Jessica Brogden, Bernadette Brogden, Eric Brogden and his wife, Kristi, and his great grandson, James Brogden. He is survived by 2 brothers, David Brogden and his wife, Marie 'Honey' and Frank Brogden and his wife, Sherry and many loving family members and friends.
Wes was a union carpenter with Local 255 who was a true cowboy at heart. He had an unrelenting passion for everything involving horses - raising them, riding them, showing them, and teaching others to do the same. Much of his life was spent in the great outdoors, where he could be found hunting, horseback riding on trail rides, or helping to show his and Ann's prized show dogs, always while wearing a pair of genuine cowboy boots and a big belt buckle. Wes was also a die-hard Eagles fan, although he never hid his disappointment when they didn't play to his expectations. He was a good-hearted man, a lover of cheesesteaks and diner breakfasts, a big fan of country music, and always had a clever way of putting things that made you laugh. He rode off into the sunset this past Tuesday, April 21, 2020. At a later date, family and friends will gather together to celebrate his life.
In lieu of other expressions of sympathy, donations may be made in Wes' memory to Compassionate Friends Therapeutic Horseback Riding Center 40 Cooper Tomlinson Road Medford NJ 08055 www.cftrc.org or Samaritan Hospice 5 Eves Drive Suite 300 Marlton NJ 08053 www.samaritannj.org
