Obituary for Richard L. Alberto

Richard L. Alberto, 80 of Marlton NJ. died peacefully on March 23, 2022
at home.
Richard is survived by his wife of 58 years Sandra nee Talvacchia. Three sons Richard Jr. and Natalie, Michael J. and Ana and Christopher J. and Betty. Five grandchildren David, Sarah, Michael II, Christopher and Julia. A sister Lucille and many niece, nephews, cousins and friends.

Richard was born April 10, 1940 in South Philadelphia to Domenic and Ida nee DeSipio Alberto. He attended public schools graduating from South Philadelphia high school in February 1959. Active in high school on the tennis and track team. He then attended Drexel University graduating Drexel in June 1964 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance. Richard then went on to a 40-year career in banking that include Continental, South Jersey Nation/Heritage, Midlantic as a Regional Vice President, Burlington County, Trenton State Banks. He retired from Sterling bank as a senior Vice President in 2006. He also worked for Boeing Vertol and RCA. During his banking career he was a member of the Lyons Clubs, Chamber Of Commerce, President of the Rotary Cub and President and Secretary of the South Jersey Bankers Association also involved with many organizations and charities. Richard was admired by his collages and employees for his work ethics, demeanor and being very easy to talk to. Richard was also one of the first officers of the Brush Hollow Civic Association.

Richard met his wife Sandra in October of 1958 at 13th and Wolf in South Philadelphia. A True love story they married June 8, 1963 at Saint Monica church, Philadelphia, Pa. After the birth of their three sons, they moved to Marlton New Jersey in October 1969 where he lived for over 52 years.
Richard was very active even after retiring. Riding his bike, walking his dogs, Mandy or Abby, played tennis and fussing over his lawn. Richard loved traveling with his wife that include over 16 cruises, Europe and the United States. He entertained often and was always there to help others. He also was extremely handy, that spoiled his wife. His children and an Especially his grandchildren where his pride and joy and so very proud of them all. For holidays and family gatherings he always made sure there was everything that everyone liked and the grandchildren got what they wanted for Christmas and Birthdays. So many wonderful, happy memories. But with all his caring for others he hated being fussed over. He truly will be missed. Rest In Peace My Love!!

Relatives and friends are invited to the viewing on Thursday, March 31, 2022, from 8:15 AM to 10:15 AM at Bradley Funeral Home, Route 73 and Evesham Road, Marlton, NJ. A mass of Christian burial will be at 11:00 AM at St. Joan of Arc Church, 100 Willow Bend Road, Marlton, NJ. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery, Cherry Hill, NJ.
