Obituary

Justin Kent Neitzke (1984-2020) passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on November 10, 2020. Justin was taken from us too soon, but he experienced a lot of life and love in his 36 years. He is loved dearly by his devoted parents, Kent and Julie (née Alloway) Neitzke; his loving sister, Lauren Neitzke Adamo; his brother-in-law, Christopher Adamo; and his cherished niece and nephew, Cassandra and Lincoln. He will also be deeply missed by his aunt, Susan Stow; his cousin, Melanie Pittard and her husband, William Pittard; and their children, Vivian, Alice, and Liam. He is also survived by dear family friends, James and Phyllis Hessler.

Justin lived most of his life in Mount Laurel, NJ and graduated from Lenape High School in Medford, NJ in 2002. He worked several jobs, but found his time as a GI Assistant Technician at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia very rewarding and worked there for 10 years. Justin and his parents permanently relocated to Sanibel Island, FL in 2018, where they all enjoyed immersing themselves in island life. Between trips to the beach to partake in Sanibel’s world-class shelling, Justin spent time volunteering at the Clinic for the Rehabilitation of Wildlife (CROW) and the F.I.S.H. of SANCAP food bank.

Justin loved traveling to exotic and historic places all over the world and managed to visit 52 countries. Some of his favorite memories include riding elephants in the jungles of Thailand, sitting on the back of a camel at the Great Pyramids in Egypt, and getting the chance to hold a koala in Australia and a sloth in Central America. Justin was an avid bowler for many years of his life and was very proud of both his 187 average and his highest game score of 289. He was a movie and “Weird Al” aficionado, and always liked to keep his hands busy by crafting a myriad of unique objects. Most recently, Justin loved to bake and decorate cakes. Justin was a son, a brother, an uncle, a friend, a cousin, a nephew, an epilepsy warrior, and so much more. He will be remembered for many things, but most of all, he will always be remembered for his never-ending kindness. With the Gift of Life Donor Program, Justin lives on through the recipients of his tissue donation.

Formal services will be held at a future date, when family and friends may gather safely.

In lieu of other expressions of sympathy, donations may be made in Justin's memory to the Epilepsy Foundation at https://epilepsyfoundation.donordrive.com/campaign/Justin-Memorial-Fund or to the address below:

I’ll never forget Justin. I’ve seen him at least once a month for 34 years and I will miss him very much. It’s so sad. It’s so tragic. I’ve enjoyed every visit. Justin was such a nice and kind young man and he was blessed with a terrific family. I’m so sorry for the terrible loss.
