Reverend Joseph Mario Beretta
Of Moorestown, New Jersey, after serving as a faithful ambassador for his LORD, went home to be with Him on October 7, 2019 at the age of 88. Beloved husband of the late Patricia Capeci Beretta and loving father of the late Joseph Michael Beretta (Lillian), Sandra Lynn Wharton (William) and Dina Rae Spuler (Tim). Devoted grandfather of Angela Patrice Linz (Daniel), Nicole Marie Wharton, Natalie Rae Brown (Adam), Santina Spuler Lynn (Andrew), Gabrielle Fe’ Shepherd (Davey), Jessica Dianne Wright (Erik), Patricia Nicole Miner (Brandon) and Joseph Michael Beretta Jr. (Samantha). Great-grandfather of Isabella Joy Linz, Carter Daniel Linz, William Jackson Linz, Blake Mitchell Brown, Vivian Rae Brown, Alegra Patrice Lynn, Landon Scott Wright, Providence Giuseppina Lynn, Nova Grace Wright and Taliah Rae Miner. Reverend Beretta attended Berkshire Community College and graduated from the University of Valley Forge. Reverend Beretta pastored Christian Assembly in Pittsfield, Massachusetts before taking the pastorate of Kingsway Assembly of God in Cherry Hill, New Jersey. After pastoring at Kingsway Assembly, Reverend Beretta became the Assistant Superintendent and later Superintendent of the New Jersey District of the Assemblies of God, becoming the pastor to pastors until his retirement. Reverend Beretta served on the Board of Directors for the National Home Missions of the Assemblies of God, The University of Valley Forge and the Teen Challenge organization. He served as Trustee for Evangel University and President of Northeast Urban Church Planting. Reverend Beretta also served as General Presbyter for the General Council of the Assemblies of God in Springfield, Missouri.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit with the family from 10:00 to 11:30am followed by a memorial service at 11:30am on Saturday, October 12, 2019 at Marlton Assembly of God, 625 E. Main Street, Marlton, New Jersey 08053. Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Joe Beretta Foundation, which was established to provide emergency housing and financial and emotional support to families in crisis from advanced heart failure. The foundation was formed by Lillian Beretta and her family in memory of Reverend Beretta’s son, Joseph Michael Beretta.

I am so sorry I will miss the service. We will be in Pittsburgh for a family wedding. Pastor Beretta was so special to our family. We have many great memories with Pastor and Sister Beretta and will pray for God’s comfort and peace for all of you.

To the family of Joe Beretta: sad to hear that Bro. Beretta has gone home yo be with the Lord. He has finished his course and at rest. Nick worked with his wife Pat at school
Many good memories of both of them. Sorry we will not be able to attend his home going celebration as recently (Stella) had heart surgery. Your day are in our thoughts and prayers for God's comfort and peace.
