Obituary

Gloria Z. Ventura passed away quietly in her sleep on Friday, May 22, 2020 at the age of 90. She was the loving wife of Edward G. Ventura who predeceased her.

Loving mother of Joanne Ventura (Steven Neuner) and Edward Ventura, Jr. (Phyllis Heller) and adoring grandmother of Jeanette Neuner, Michele Ventura, Liane Ventura and Daniel Neuner. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. She was the youngest of ten children, all of whom predeceased her. She married Edward in 1953. A native New Yorker, Gloria and Edward followed their children to New Jersey when the grandchildren were born. She was proud of her husband, children and grandchildren supporting all of them as they achieved their goals. She was a true friend to many and a casual friend to many more.

Interment was private. A memorial service will be held at a later date at a time when family and friends can gather to celebrate her life.

My grandmother (Grammi) was a bright light throughtout my adolescence and adulthood. She taught me, more than anything else, the value of loving others before yourself. She had a way of showing her nuturing side for all living beings, whether they be human, animal, or plant. Grammi was also an amazing cook, and gardener. She was a devout Catholic and her love of God inspired her life. And, her bond with my grandfather was epitomized love. The presence of her heart greatly exceeded her 5'0" stature. I hope to see you again in the next life, Grammi.
