September 5, 1988 - June 29, 2020

Daniel Bishop passed away in the early morning hours of Monday, June 29, 2020. He was 31 years old.

Daniel was loved and cherished by his mother, Laura Bishop, sister Amanda Bishop, stepfather Pascal Chavanon and stepsister Allison Chavanon. His extended loving family includes his grandmother, Patricia Nichols, Aunt Lisa and Uncle Steve Larzelere, Uncle Jack and Aunt Deana Nichols, Uncle Mark Claren, Uncle Matthew Nichols and Uncle Sebastian Li, Uncle Luke and Aunt Abby Nichols; cousins Georgia, Jaclyn, Ella, Anna, Andrew, Cooper and Easton; great aunts and uncles; many second and third cousins, and his godson, Liam Ramirez. He was loved and will be deeply missed by his many friends, colleagues and the individuals whose lives he touched during his short journey in this life, which was way too short.

Daniel was a spiritual, joyful boy who grew into a handsome, compassionate young man. He was intelligent, witty and quite a character with a rich, hearty laugh. He took great pride and was gifted in his work with children and young adults with special needs at Archway Programs. A Jersey Boy through and through, Daniel loved The Pinelands, especially Batsto Village, and the Delaware Bay, where he spent many happy days walking the beach, fishing and casting a seine net.

For the past several years, Daniel struggled with depression and alcoholism. He is reunited with his Aunt Pam, Pop Pop Nichols, Grandmom and Grandpop Bishop, and Noni and Pop Pop, as well as his cats Crackerjack (his lifelong buddy) and Echo. He is now content, living the endless summer, swimming in the ocean, fishing, casting his seine net and feasting on fried green tomatoes, clams, dark chocolate-covered pretzels and his Noni’s pizza.

We miss you deeply Daniel, and always will.

The services for Daniel will be private.
