Of Berlin, NJ, Formerly of Cherry Hill, NJ. Passed away suddenly due to a motor vehicle
accident on December 25, 2020. Known to everyone as "Grams", Carol was an elegant, bright shining light for all who knew her during her 84 years. As the beloved wife of the late James P. Carden, Sr. and
the late Richard C. Marks, Carol was a devoted mother to her children Patricia CardenKeller (Glenn) and James P. Carden, Jr. (Gina), as well as her grandchildren Emelia and Patrick Keller and Ariana Carden with whom she cherished daily moments. Carol shared her love of life and family with her late sister Libia Preacher, her brother Russell Locandro, III, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who will miss her more than words can express. Born in New Brunswick to the late Rosario J. Locandro Jr. and Libia Lattanzio Locandro, she attended Glassboro State College and taught at the Erlton Elementary School in Cherry Hill. As the talented owner of Designs by Carol in Cherry Hill and recently a seamstress at Chadmoore Formal Wear in Washington Twp., NJ. Carol’s love of fashion and commitment to sophisticated design brought joy to countless brides, grooms and party-goers for over 45 years. As a devoted animal lover, Carol volunteered at the Animal Welfare Association in Voorhees and shared her life with special feline friends including Callie, her most recent companion. Relatives and friends are invited to share in the joy of Carol’s cherished and well-lived life at an 11:00 am graveside service on January 11, 2021 at Harleigh Cemetery 1640 Haddon Ave., Camden, NJ 08103. A formal memorial service will be planned by the family once COVID restrictions are lifted. Should friends and family desire, contributions may be made to Animal Welfare Association (AWA), 509 Centennial Blvd., Voorhees, NJ 08043 in honor of Carol Marks.
