Obituary

ADDIEGO, Dr. Ben T. on March 29, 2020, of Haddon Twp NJ, formerly of Cherry Hill and Collingswood. Age 87. He is survived by his loving family; his daughters; Dawn Marie Addiego and her husband, Daniel Clark, Kimberly Addiego, Gia Addiego and Tina Addiego and her husband, Jose Torres, his grandchildren; Morgan Clark, Jade Gilfesis and Joseph and Max Torres; his wife; Martina Addiego, his step daughter; Adilene Norrega and his niece; Susan Christ and her husband Ralph Melchiore. He is the dear brother of the late Carol Addiego. Dr. Addiego was born and raised in Collingswood NJ. He was a graduate of Collingswood High School, Villanova University and Temple Dental School. Ben was the only athlete to letter in 5 sports at Collingswood High School; football, swimming, track, baseball and basketball. When he graduated in 1950, Ben had earned 14 total letters. After high school, Ben received a professional offer from the Brooklyn Dodgers. He accepted a full scholarship to Villanova University where he was a 3 year starter on the football team. After a short stint with the Philadelphia Eagles, Ben enrolled in Dental School at Temple where he graduated with honors. Ben also proudly served our country earning the rank of 1st Lieutenant in the USMC. Professionally, Dr. Addiego was an accomplished Orthodontist from 1969-1991 serving the South Jersey Area. A private burial of his urn will take place at Calvary Cemetery.
