Ambrose “Bud” Clancy passed away on April 11, 2020. He was 80 years old. Predeceased by his wife Janet. Loving father of Russ Clancy (Michelle), Brad Clancy (Katherine Ann), Robert Rowley (Dawn), Chris Clancy (Rachael), and the late Kevin Rowley. Proud grandfather of Kayla, Mason, Jackson, Michael, Richard, Thomas, Logan, Owen, and Colton.
Bud grew up in New York City and loved music. He had his NYC cabaret card at the young age of 13 and began performing in jazz night clubs during the 1950’s. Saxophone and clarinet were his favorite instruments. He also spent many years as an entrepreneur, building warehouse and stevedoring operations along the Hudson and Delaware rivers. In his later years, he developed a passion for technology and computers. Above everything else, Bud’s biggest passion were his children and grandchildren. He loved them deeply and he will be greatly missed by those who knew him.
In lieu of any flowers, the family kindly asks that you consider donating to the Food Bank of Southern NJ ( . They offer emergency food supplies and other assistance for those in need. They are major contributors toward food distribution for those impacted by Covid-19, in the Southern New Jersey region.
