Loving father of Domenic Massimini (April), Geoffrey Massimini (Pamela), and Jeanine Mihalak (Anthony). Proud and devoted grandfather of Domenic, Samantha, Gavin, Julianna, Michael, Jessica, Matthew, and Ella. Also survived by his brothers and sister, Mario Massimini (Betty), Olida “Lee” Aiello, and Dante Massimini.

Al was born and raised in South Philadelphia. He received a full scholarship to Wharton Business School at The University of Pennsylvania and graduated in 1957. Thereafter Al became a Certified Public Accountant. Several years later he became the CFO of Scarborough Real Estate and moved to Cherry Hill, NJ where he raised his family and resided until his death. In 1980, Al became a Professor of Accounting at La Salle University where he remained a Professor for almost 40 years until he finally retired in 2018 at age 82. Al and my father, Fulgenzio, were first cousins. Their mothers were sisters and very close friends. My father spoke very highly of Al and I can see why. About a year and a half ago I was blessed to spend some time with him (we had never met before), his son Geoff and his family, along we other members of our family. He was a delight to be with and I’m so thankful for the time we had together. My love and prayers are with you all at this difficult time. Until we meet again, cousin Al. Love and miss you.

Professor Massimini was one of my favorites at La Salle. He made accounting interesting and accessible. He was a professor that truly cared about his students' success. I am very fortunate to have had him as a teacher.
